This video shows how to plan hotel whole-room dimming during the site wiring stage.
When the project reaches the renovation or masonry stage, the wiring plan must already be clear.
The contractor should know which lighting circuits require dimming and which circuits only need normal switching.
For a hotel guest room, the lighting layout may include entrance light, bedside light, bathroom light, mirror light, cove light, and decorative strip light.
The drawing must separate normal strong-current switching circuits from dimming circuits.
If the dimming circuit is not marked clearly, the electrician may wire it like a traditional switch circuit.
That will create problems later when the dimming module or smart panel is installed.
The correct method is to check the electrical drawing, the control diagram, and the room function list together.
Each circuit should be connected to the right module channel and the right wall panel button.
The RCU, dimming module, and RS485 wall panels should be shown in the wiring diagram.
The RS485 bus line is used for communication between the guest room controller and the panels or modules.
The load wire goes to the lamp or dimming driver according to the dimming method.
